TITLE:Bird Research at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve
SUMMARY:Bird Research at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Bird Research at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve\nRelating to
our book selection title, come learn about various species of bird. Learn
ways towards identification, and local efforts in bird survey research
within our local ecosystem! Bound to be a great session with plenty of
interesting information on our colorful flying friends, let’s learn
more about species that are still among us!\nJoin Amanda Dillon, Field
Ecologist for the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, for a discussion of bird
banding and bird survey research efforts at the Preserve. The Albany Pine
Bush protects an ecosystem that is home to 76 NY Species of Greatest
Conservation Need, including 43 species of birds. The rarity and
diversity of species, together with the high quality habitat, has earned
the Preserve designations as an Audubon Important Birding Area and a
NYS-DEC Bird Conservation Area. Co-sponsored with Southern Adirondack
Audubon.
