Patrick Donovan and The Living Library have captivated audiences with their plays and short skits for years doing amazing work. Join us for yet another show covering themes by our community choice book author Frank Sullivan.

A Yaddo alumnus and contributor to The New Yorker, Jonathan Lethem often writes about New York City, and in this story about a Queens communist.

Celebrating Frank Sullivan’s friendship with Groucho Marx and the 1967 Frank Sullivan Race at the Saratoga Race Course, we present the Marx Brothers, A Day at the Races. Oh, and ice cream!

This is an ongoing event that lasts through the entire month of February. Hunt for hidden mice and try to get prizes!

Discussions of Stuart Little led by Skidmore College and Saratoga High School student group mentors. Saratoga Springs School District students in grades 4-6 may register at the library. Part of a 2-part program.

The library’s short-story reading group (open to anyone) will discuss selections from the community selection, and Sullivan’s 1954 piece for The New Yorker, “A Saratoga Childhood”.

Hop on a bus with us, as we head to New York City to take a walking tour of the Big Apple’s 1920s literary scene, including stops at the Algonquin Hotel and other Round Table haunts, including the sites of apartments, offices, and speakeasies frequented by the era’s literati.
