The Arch Stanton Quartet presents a program of original jazz compositions and readings called Shadow & Act: Music Inspired by Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man. All ages are welcome.

Dr. Sara Lagalwar of Skidmore College joins us to discuss her background in neurodegenerative diseases, and recounts her use a variety of cultured cell models in her research, including past research with HeLa.

For our capstone event, SaratogaREADS! and Skidmore College are thrilled to welcome two members of the Lacks family to Saratoga Springs, streaming to an in-person audience at Skidmore’s Gannett Auditorium. Henrietta Lacks’s great-grandaughter, Victoria Baptiste and daughter-in-law, Shirley Lacks will join us for a conversation about Henrietta’s legacy. No registration is required.
