A house built at the edge of a cliff, overhanging over the sea. The words, "The House in the Cerulean Sea" and the author, TJ Klune.

Zamora’s 2017 debut book of poems, recounting both the trauma and camaraderie of his having crossed the border as an unaccompanied minor, is the Saratoga Reads poetry companion to The House in the Cerulean Sea, by T.J. Klune.

Although Zamora’s terrain is desert and turbulent rivers - not a water-engulfed outpost - the parallels between poems and novel abound. The pilgrims in these poems - deemed by some as miscreants - are bound North, with hopes for a better life - and bound to each other through mortal struggle.
