SaratogaREADS! 2023 Junior Title Selected!

Saratoga Springs Public Library is pleased to announce that the 2023 SaratogaREADS! Jr. companion selection is Other Words for Home by Jasmine Warga.
Written in verse, this middle-grades novel is the story of a young girl acclimating to life in a new country when she is sent to live with family in Cincinnati to escape violence in her home country of Syria. The selection will be the inspiration for a series of upcoming discussions and programs for young people, to accompany programs inspired by the 2023 adult selection, The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels by Jon Meacham.
