Library Announces 2026 SaratogaREADS! Selections
Saratoga Springs Public Library is pleased to announce that, by popular vote of the community, The Soul of an Octopus, by Sy Montgomery, is the 2026 SaratogaREADS! selection.
The results are in, and Saratoga Springs Public Library is pleased to announce, that by popular vote, the community has chosen The Soul of an Octopus by Sy Montgomery as the SaratogaREADS! selection for 2026. Event planning for our primary title has only just begun, but the Junior title’s events are already gearing up!

The 2025 SaratogaREADS! Jr. companion selection will be Pax by Sara Pennypacker. Junior events are already being planned and moving forward; please keep an eye on the library’s event calendar and check with local schools for further details.
Since 2005, SaratogaREADS! has invited all members of the Saratoga Springs community to participate in a shared reading experience, and to take part in conversations and events inspired by their annual reading selections.
